Hey {{ first name | there }},
I wanted to share something meaningful with you.
Over the past few months, I’ve been reflecting a lot on what we’re building together—what this community actually is, and more importantly, what it’s becoming.
When I first started Nirvana, it captured a feeling I was chasing. But as things have evolved, it’s become clear that the name no longer fully represents the energy, movement, and shared experiences that define this group today.
At the same time, many of you have already experienced what this community really feels like through the events we hosted—Breathe Into the Wild.
Those events were always the truest expression of what we’re about:
Getting outside. Pushing our edges. Breathing deeper. Doing hard things together. And reconnecting with nature, with ourselves, and with each other.
So we’re making a shift.
We’re officially transitioning from Nirvana → Breathe Into the Wild. Nirvana will always be the name of the studio, but we feel Breathe into the Wild better represents who we are today and what we’re creating.
This is a realignment with what this community has already been becoming.
With that, we’re planning to start hosting events again as the weather warms up, likely beginning in May. These will be focused on movement, cold exposure, community, and time spent outside together <3
Also, a quick update:
The 50 Lake Alpine Plunge in Mammoth is officially sold out. And it’s shaping up to be something really special. Almost 70 miles of trekking across five days while plunging in 50 lakes, creating one incredible experience.
This expedition was inspired by my time cold plunging in Mammoth the week before first snow last year and my time cold plunging in Patagonia’s glaciers just last month (picture below).

We’ll be documenting the entire mammoth experience. It’s magical as the weather conditions only permit for one perfect week a year to hit all 50 lakes. It’s taken months of preparing to make it possible.
More to come soon—but for now, just wanted to share this shift and bring you along for it.
Appreciate you being part of this.
— Josh
P.S. We’ll be doing another Mammoth event this year - 7 lakes, 7 days with breathwork, yoga, and meaningful connection. Much less trekking and more about a strong nervous system reset. If you’re interested, just reply or DM me.
P.P.S. Because we changed the email address from [email protected] → josh@breatheintothewild, we’d love if you starred this email so Gmail knows to keep it in your inbox <3.
